About · Destiny Community Survey

Purpose

Opinion on Destiny is scattered across Reddit threads, Discord arguments and creator videos, where the loudest voices win. This survey gives an equal voice to everyone by collecting quantitative data of what the community wants from Bungie for Destiny, and lets anyone who answers explore it using filters on Segments.

Current, lapsed and prospective players are all welcome to answer.

Methodology

One Response per Discord account. The site requests only the Discord identify scope and stores only your Discord ID: no username, avatar or email.
The Survey is split into Sections. The Intro Section (general Questions plus Demographics) is mandatory; the rest can be filled out in any order. Every Question is shown to everyone. Only the Intro's general Questions and Destiny-related Demographics are required.
Only Submitted Sections count. You can edit your Response any time; edits to a Submitted Section count as they save.
Percentages are based on the people who answered that Question, so skips don't dilute them. Results with fewer than 10 answers show counts only.
Submitting the Intro Section unlocks the Results, which refresh periodically. Results can be filtered by one Segment at a time, based on self-reported Demographics.
Results can be exported as aggregate CSVs. A nightly anonymized raw CSV is also published: one row per Response (Submitted Sections only) with every Question, including optional personal Demographics, under a random id with no timestamps.
Your Discord ID never appears in Results or exports. You can delete all your data yourself at any time: your answers leave the Results within about 10 minutes and the raw export by the next night. Copies already downloaded can't be recalled.
Respondents choose to take part, so this is not a random sample of all players. Read the numbers with that in mind.
